The Roeblingagon is the 2012 NYC CORE installation. Designed to mimic the Brooklyn Bridge, it is a semi-sphere resting on The Playa with an assortment of intertwined cables and arches. LED lights in the core cast color morphing shadows onto the crowd, and the cables and arches of the sculpture cast their own unique shadows as the crowd disperses. The true meaning of The Roeblingagon lies, not in the structure itself, but in the community that surrounds the installation throughout the event.
