The Vancouver CORE 2012 Life Tree realizes the theme of this year’s burn by combining a well known a symbol of life with a symbol of fertility from our region. The Life Tree will consist of cross
sections of pine log, which will be mounted on spokes, extended outward and rotated in a double helix fashion around a 12ft tall core. There will be a 7ft tall canopy mounted on top. The structures dimensions are estimated to 8ft wide and 20ft tall. The tree will be designed to rotate. At night, RGB LED lights will light up the spokes and will controlled by participants through access to an electronic piano keyboard.
